Iriomote （西表島）

Iriomote Island（西表島）is the second largest island of OKinawa Prefecture except the main island and is about a 30 - 45 boat ride from the Ishigaki Port.
Most of the island (almost 90 percent) is covered in subtropical jungle which is unusual in the Japanese climate, and mangroves are seen all around the waterways.
Although there are so many places a tourist would be attracted to pay a visit in the island, the Mariyudu Waterfall, which is designated as one of the top 100 waterfalls in Japan, is one of our best recommendations.
